This is the Delaware Bay. Truly! I've heard sooooooooo many horror stories about this but the weather Gods liked us that day. Look Mom......... No hands!

C+ D Canal Bridges

Well we couldn't have had a better start to a fine trip. We left on Sat. Aug. 9th. and the seas on the Chesapeake Bay, C+D Canal and the Delaware were basically flat. This picture is on the Chesapeake around Bush River.

Excited!

Well I have to admit..... I'm gettin really excited!

We leave in 2 days. Sat. morning.

And I've checked the boat, changed the oils, filters, etc., checked the boat, and rechecked the boat.

And by golly, I think we're ready........

Delmarva Loop Boat Trip, Aug 9 to 23, 2008

Well, we are about to embark on a two week vacation cruise on our own little yacht. It is an express cruiser type of boat and is identified as a 1999 Sea Ray, 310DA. It has an overall length of 34' and a 11' - 6" beam. Some people have no idea what I'm talking about when I describe our trip as the Delmarva Loop. It is actually around the Delmarva Peninsula consisting of Delaware, Maryland and Virginia with our first stop in Cape May, New Jersey. So I took a photo of a small map just to give you an idea of the basic trip layout. We will leave our Yacht Club, Crescent Yacht club, (CYC) around 9 or 10 AM on Saturday morning and will be going in a clockwise direction. Of course there will be deviations .......... that's just the way I am when I travel. So here it is if you want to take a look.
